What’s New With COBRA Show Creator?

We have received some great feedback on the new redesigned COBRA Show Creator since we released it 3 months ago. We have taken all of the awesome feedback and suggestions into account and will continue to do so. Every day we strive to make CSC the best it can be, and this is only the beginning. We have many new features and improvements in the works for future releases. We would like to share some new features that were released in an update today, and some that will be arriving in the coming weeks.

1.0.1 Release (Released on 5/11/2020)

• Improvements to Cue Labels, including the ability to add 4 lines of custom text, and use My Fireworks data such as part numbers.
• Improvements to bulk importing My Fireworks, such as a new warning if the format doesn’t quite match what is expected, greatly improved performance, and added a progress bar.
• Added a new method under the hood to upload audio files to the cloud. This enabled the ability to add a progress bar with updates for how much of the file has been successfully uploaded.
• Added a Show Date setting. We are extremely excited about what this setting can enable in future updates.
• General bug fixes and UI tweaks

BETA Testing

The following features are currently being BETA tested at beta.cobrashowcreator.com. Play around with them and give us your feedback.

• We are introducing a new way to create, import, open, and duplicate shows in CSC. We will be combining the New Show, Open Show, and Import Show sidebar buttons into a new My Shows section. This section will allow for easier opening of shows as well as the ability to duplicate shows.
• We are testing some features that we are bringing over from the windows CSC including a “View My Firework” button and view matching fireworks. Right-click on a row that has a My Firework inserted and click the “View My Firework”, this will then open up the My Firework in a separate window allowing for viewing and editing. When a row is selected that has a My Firework inserted all other rows with that same firework will be highlighted.
• Added the ability to hide the waveform from the UI. This allows users with smaller screens to have more room for the Cue Table. This setting can be enabled in Preferences under the Waveform tab.
• We are testing the ability for CSC to remove Timecode from audio files while scripting. This will allow for easier scripting and more accurate waveform generation for users who are creating a Timecoded show. The setting is currently being tested at an account level, however, after testing it will be moved onto an individual audio file level.
• Added the ability to import an exported CSC Cue Report. Users have requested the ability to export a show from CSC, massage the data using programs such as Excel, and be able to reimport back into CSC. This will now be possible by downloading the cue report of a show or using the Download button in the new My Shows Section.
• Working on implementing the ability to shift cues that are in a STEP script. This is currently only possible on non-STEP shows. This feature is in the early stages of being tested. It is recommended to duplicate your show before using.
